More than a hundred years ago, China had a fleet with a flying dragon flag, the Beiyang Navy. Their deeds in the Sino-Japanese War moved many Chinese people. Therefore, I wrote a set of short stories/micro-novel to commemorate those lovely people who are either heroes or cannot be called heroes. Some of these novels use characters as a line to record a period of time of a person, and some use events as a line to record some events. Of course, there is a certain amount of artistic processing involved. This series of novels features Liu Buchan, Lin Taizeng and other senior Beiyang officers as the protagonists.
