Middle Ages, Great Britain
In an era of cold weapons, the seven kingdoms were in chaos. The small country of East Anglia was occupied by the powerful Mercian Empire, and the young king Edmund became a prisoner of war of the famous empire general Isaac. Isaac has been deeply in love with Edmund for a long time and takes good care of him, hoping that one day he will get something in return. However, in the cruel reality, this love story will not have a happy ending after all.
In the first betrayal, Edmund secretly contacted the spies in Mercia to provoke civil strife, and took advantage of Isaac's return to rescue to launch a rebellion and regain the land. However, independence only lasted for 6 months before it was reoccupied by Isaac, known as the God of War. In the second betrayal, Edmund secretly swore surrender to the powerful neighboring country Wessex, and used its power to drive away the invaders again. Isaac refused to give up and after seven years of war finally forced the Wessexians to abandon East Anglia and regain this territory.
Facing Edmund, who was captured for the third time, Isaac forced him to choose between the justice of the country and the personal love of his children. Edmund swore to obey the justice of the country and ended his life with his lover's dagger.
However, death is just the beginning.
