During the Tianbao period of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, there was a group of women in Yuhang in the south of the Yangtze River. They were beautiful, smart, and well versed in business. The emphasis on feudal society and the suppression of commerce were not so harsh in this prosperous age. When agriculture rose, commerce also flourished.
The Luling Tower located in the southeast corner of Yuhang City is their place, and there is an endless stream of merchants traveling from north to south every day. There is a saying among merchants that there is nothing that Lulinglou cannot buy, and there is nothing that they cannot sell.
It was such a group of women who lived proudly and beautifully in the prosperous age of the Tang Dynasty. Even though history was turbulent, they still stood tall in the strong wind.
