Lin Yinuo (Coco) entered a well-known bank in New York after studying in graduate school in the United States. With a cheerful personality, beauty and intelligence, she fell in love at first sight with Ni Zijian (David), a middle-level company leader who already had a wife, and she fell into a painful self-struggle. I wanted to leave, but I had to worry about my status as a worker in the United States and stayed in the company for the time being. She used crazy work to divert her attention and quickly got promoted, but as a result, she had more interactions with Yu Jian at work. An unexpected encounter between the two in a different place caused her long-suppressed feelings to be released unpreparedly. Their overnight romance made her even more unable to extricate herself from her attachment to Zijian.
Ni Zijian was aware of the company's new employee Lin Yinuo's crush on him. He thought that his noncommittal would quickly cool down Yinuo's enthusiasm, but he was gradually moved by this young girl's persistence and frankness, and he couldn't help but feel affection for her. The ambiguity that the two tried to suppress finally broke out in a chance encounter. From then on, he was unable to balance between morality and emotion, and began to consider the opportunity of the company to be stationed in Hong Kong. However, he did not expect that Enoch had already made a decision before him.
The author allows the male and female protagonists to describe this deep emotional entanglement from their own perspectives and inner monologues. Love and choice are described in the life of Chinese people in New York City.
