The first time I met Aran was on a bright sunny day.
At that time, the air was full of the smell of summer, and camphor trees covered the campus with shades of green. I glanced at her in the sea of hot people, and felt a strange and uncomfortable coolness in my heart. She was light and heavy, as if she couldn't blend into the hustle and bustle around her.
I looked at her for maybe half a minute, then she tilted her head slightly and turned her face towards me.
When I looked back, I thought I would not remember a face that flashed by. But that distinct but indescribable aura is leaching out traces in my heart in a faint and hazy way.
It was 2004, I was 24 years old and Aran was 15 years old.
Original, teacher and student, nine years apart, nine years together.
