What does summer look like to us?
The sun shrouds the sky over the city, and the light hits people's backs directly, giving people a dull and blurry feeling. The sultry air made people breathless, and large drops of sweat dripped along the hair to the ground. The chirping of cicadas kept echoing in my ears, screaming like a spirit.
The boys were playing basketball on the playground, sweating freely and letting the sun scorch their skin. When taking a break, he would grab a mineral water bottle standing on the ground, take a sip, and then casually wipe his mouth, gasp loudly, and throw the bottle aside casually.
Groups of girls were wearing short skirts and playing in the street with a cone in each hand. They talked about how ridiculous the plot of the new TV series was, complained about the increasingly unpalatable food at school, and discussed whether the classmate in the next class was with a senior. A pink mushroom cloud floated in their minds. The topic kept changing, and finally all the girls laughed and minced together.
How wonderful would it be if our summers could always be like this?
If we had not experienced the baptism of time and the pain of separation, would our summer have been so beautiful and never ended?
However, no one escaped in the end.
