At a school-level assembly one month after the school term started, crowds of people crowded into the auditorium on the back hill. After climbing the stairs for five minutes, I was exhausted. My breathing was mixed with the noisy footsteps as I slowly made my way to the top of the mountain. The incandescent lights in the hall were so bright that it hurt my eyes. The teachers and students in front of me were pushing and shoving them to take their seats. I yawned and followed the class at the end, passing the painted wooden door and finally walked in.
