This ancient Chinese novel is a continuation of the story based on the characters in "A Dream of Red Mansions". The main character is Jia Tanchun. Jia Tanchun and his wife went to Java, married King Suharto, and was named Princess Gil. Tanchun started a palace fight with the king's other favorite concubines. Tanchun won the palace battle and became the queen. Tanchun gave birth to two sons and a daughter. After Tanchun gained power, he brought his younger sister Xichun over, but Suharto fell in love with Xichun. However, Xichun was determined and devoted his life to Buddhism.
Suharto was killed by assassins sent by the Malays. Tanchun became a widow at the age of 46. The eldest son Azayi became the king. Azay launched a war of aggression against China and was defeated. Tanchun sacrificed the princess to the Chinese emperor to save his life. Azayi became a tyrant. With the support of Laigui, Yilier and others, Tanchun decided to be the king himself. Finally, Princess Jia Yugu and Minister Yilier assisted Tanchun's grandson Modado to inherit the throne.
