The place where I lived when I was a child was a village in the north. The village was located in a plain area, backed by mountains and surrounded by rivers on all sides.
The houses in the village are closely connected. Each house is two or three stories high and made of red bricks. The wall is covered with a layer of pink-white cement dust, and the peeling off wall is like the thirsty dead skin on the human body.
The low buildings form a weird "hui" shape. If you look down from the mountain, the connected buildings look like a huge coffin. This is the origin of the name "Lingguan Village".
