Memories are like yellowing paper. Whether it is hysterical sorrow or heart-warming joy recorded on it, it will eventually dissipate in the memories.
Suppose this person reads this joy, anger, sorrow, love and hate over and over again, and copies it onto another piece of paper over and over again. Then, throughout life, we have lost the ability to forget.
However, apart from those heartbreaking pains, what else is worth a person not wanting to forget? Self-deception and self-torture are nothing more than that.
