When I was about to go out, I felt that a heavy rain was coming, so I took out the floral umbrella that Song Hangxi had left at home. Sure enough, I saw Yuanshan Doctor from a distance on the tree-lined road. When I walked up to the pointed white European-style roof of the courtyard, a heavy rain fell through the leaves that were already slightly yellowish at the edges. The raindrops were mixed with the withered leaves and fell to the ground one after another. I held the umbrella and stayed in place. The scene in front of me felt that I couldn't cheer up.
The tree-lined road leading to Yuanshan Hospital is winding and quiet, and vehicles are restricted. Because it is a private hospital, both the environment and facilities here are of surprisingly high standards. During this period, several pedestrians like me hid under a large tree with dense shade to avoid the rain. I was the only one on the whole road stubbornly holding an umbrella and walking in the direction of Yuanshan Hospital.
When I walked to the outpatient department of Yuanshan Hospital, the raindrops suddenly fell with a faster frequency. I was secretly glad that I was not like those people hiding in the shade of the trees waiting for the rain to stop. When I looked back outside, all the alternating green and yellow colors that represented early autumn had become blurred in the rain curtain.
The hospital is filled with the smell of disinfectant all year round. Coupled with the empty corridors and very few patients due to the high standards and high consumption of distant hospitals, the atmosphere of the entire hospital is often solemn and chilly.
