Songju Town is located at the foot of Songshan Mountain, and local people also call it Longju Town. Why? This can be traced back to a rumor about Songshan Longtan from more than a hundred years ago:
Legend has it that there was a vision in the sky that day, and the gods sent down seven thunderbolts that struck the mountain. Three days later, a farmer went up the mountain to cut firewood and came to a clear pool. Suddenly he saw a giant dragon coiled in the pool. The farmer was shocked and ran home. Before this, although Songshan was beautiful, there was no clear pond in the mountain.
