Naruto Uzumaki betrayed Konoha because Konoha's higher-ups wanted to kill him, joined Akatsuki, and completely changed his appearance. The Kyuubi transformed into a human form and trained with Naruto. Even the tailed beast captured by Akatsuki wanted to transform into a human form and stay by Naruto's side. In order to take revenge, Naruto used his new appearance to sneak into Konoha, just a few days before the Jonin exam. Akatsuki also wanted to release the monsters sealed in the mountains behind Konoha, but was betrayed by Itachi Uchiha.
