I wrote this article out of my childhood obsession with the Changfeng Escort series.
"Changfeng Escort" is divided into three parts: "Emerald Doll", "Heaven's Daughter", and "Lover's Bodyguard". They are interrelated and independent of each other, but the ending is hasty. The purpose of this article is to connect the three stories, fill in the gaps behind them, bring perfection to the characters in the play, and relieve the lingering poison of the obsessed audience.
The timeline of Changfeng's story is vague, and the background of the Ming Dynasty can be determined. Therefore, although I am unable to do so, I still hope to write this article based on the history and common sense of the Ming Dynasty. However, the bodyguard stories have inherent shortcomings. For example, the plots of pirates in "The Lover" and the vassal kings committing crimes in "The Lover's Bodyguard" are often inconsistent with the history of the Ming Dynasty. Out of respect for the original drama, they are all kept according to the original story. In addition, pseudonyms are used in all the stories that refer to real people in the Ming Dynasty. Let the readers understand.
