"Material Machine" is a juvenile coming-of-age novel with a science fiction flavor. The story revolves around the growth of Zhao Chengyang, the son of scientist Zhao Pu who was left behind after a big explosion in a scientific experiment. Zhao Chengyang, the son of Zhao Pu, a family of scientists, is a "good-for-nothing" who can't do anything in the new world after the Big Bang. When he was young, because his father caused the Big Bang and took the responsibility for the destruction of the old world, Zhao Chengyang suffered unfair treatment as a boy. But when he was eighteen years old, an energy crystal found in the Big Bang site in the Savage Area gave him a new opportunity. An old man who depended on Zhao Chengyang absorbed the crystal and became a wise man, and trained Zhao Chengyang to become the leader of the fusion of various elements. Zhao Chengyang, who had no intention of getting into a fight, was eventually forced to get involved in the chaos caused by the elements. In order to protect his family, friends, brothers, and lover, he finally faced the dangers and joined the elemental melee. In the constant struggle, he eventually grew into the most powerful material machine in the world.
