This article is set in southern Henan during the Anti-Japanese War. It tells the story of a woman and her family's grudges, as well as the three men surrounding this woman. A young long-term worker who is chivalrous and courageous, always helping others, but also growing up rapidly in a life of constant struggle, a country squire who came back from a foreign school, full of ambition, and wanted to join the revolution for the country, but his ambition was crushed by ruthless life; and a kind-hearted but helpless Taiwanese youth who was forced to follow the invaders into the land of China. Not every invader who enters the land of China becomes an executioner whose hands are stained with the blood of our compatriots. Not every person who studies abroad for two days and drinks foreign ink ends up becoming a patriotic young man who throws his life and blood. Not every clerk and boss of a wealthy family has the sworn hatred of killing his father and seizing his wife. Their struggles have their own ways, and perhaps helplessness. Life is like this, it doesn't have to be spectacular, but it's still remarkable.
