Emperor Yi'an reigned for twenty years and was the first male monarch of the Gu dynasty. He vigorously promoted the system of gender equality. During his reign, the culture and economy of the Gu dynasty reached their peak in 1,200 years.
King Qing'an was very sad about the death of Emperor Yi'an. After he succeeded to the throne, he changed his reign to Chang'an and ordered the minister of literature and history to compile a biography of Emperor Yi'an.

In the year 151 of Gu Yuan, the seventh princess killed her mother and seized the throne. The emperor was named Gu Yun and named Emperor Yi'an as his queen. In the year 152 of Gu Yuan, Emperor Gu Yun died, and Emperor Yi'an ascended the throne according to his will."
