I've wanted to write an alternate history article for a long time.
However, I never came up with a suitable setting until I revisited "Mary Queen."
Gorgeous palaces, gorgeous clothes, gorgeous people... Everything is so pleasing to the eye, I actually forgot that it was a history that was spurned by the world. Finally, I decided to set the background in Europe from the 17th to 19th centuries.
The first scene appeared in my dream. The male protagonist walked out of a field of gorgeous ladies, as if he was out of tune with this world.
Later, when I was writing "Sea of Lost Souls", I thought of "Pan's Labyrinth", "Van Helsing", the magical realism masterpiece "One Hundred Years of Solitude", and the epic "Braveheart" and "The Lord of the Rings".
By the way, I almost forgot the far-reaching "Song of Ice and Fire".
I am fascinated by history. What kind of flowers will bloom in front of my eyes when history is painted with magical realism?
Celtic, Gothic, Baroque, Rococo
I want to try it.
I ran into real trouble when I was drawing a map of the virtual world. I didn't have an elective field in high school, so I still had imperfections about the climate of the entire continent.
But that's part of the joy of digging, the pain and pleasure.
