"Lust, Caution" is set during the Anti-Japanese War. A group of young intellectuals sent female student Jiazhi to dress up as a young woman, pretending to move to Shanghai to do business due to sex, and used a beauty trick to assassinate Mr. Yi, the spy chief under the traitor Wang Jingwei. After Jiazhi moved into Mr. Yi's home, she became friends with Mrs. Yi. After two years of careful planning, she successfully seduced Mr. Yi into a jewelry store, where her accomplice assassinated him. However, because Jiazhi had true feelings for Mr. Yi, when the killer arrived outside the jewelry store, Jiazhi's emotions overcame her reason and she actually informed Mr. Yi to run away.
