Before becoming a monk, Ananda, a disciple of the Buddha, met a young girl on the road and fell in love with her from then on.
Buddha asked him: "How much do you like that girl?"
Ananda replied: "I would like to transform into a stone bridge and be exposed to five hundred years of wind, five hundred years of sunshine, and five hundred years of rain, if only this girl could walk across the bridge."
