In winter, the weather in the south is not necessarily much better than in the north.
The cold and wet weather has been going on for several months. The omnipresent dampness and coldness invade people's bone marrow like needles.
It's already the third watch. The night was quiet, and occasionally one or two dogs barked in the distance. The entire Forbidden City was covered in white snow, and the weather was surprisingly cold.
The snow is still dancing.
Rows of soldiers patrolling outside the Forbidden City seemed to have forgotten the cold. They wore military caps, armor, spears, and swords and walked back and forth along the long city wall. Their eyes looked through the holes in the night to search every corner of the city wall. Under the moonlight, only different shades of messy footprints were left on the snowy ground...
