I wrote this for Zhu Youtang, Emperor Xiaozong and Hongzhi of the Ming Dynasty, whom I admire very much. As an emperor, he created a prosperous era of civil and military affairs. As a husband, he only loved his beloved wife. These are all things I thought I could not do in his position, so I admire him very much, so I wrote this novel.
