"Brother, I'm pregnant." I lowered my head and pulled the hem of my skirt and stood at the door of the study.
"Yeah. I understand."
I breathed a sigh of relief and watched my brother continue the work at hand. I calmed down and prepared to turn around.
"What did you say?!"
Brother suddenly shouted, completely losing his usual demeanor. I was so frightened that I held the door frame and looked at him speechless. Brother stood up and strode towards me, grabbed my shoulder, and asked again eagerly: "What did you just say?"
This time he was a little gentler, but his eyes were so scary, as if he wanted to kill someone. I swallowed and said, "I said I was pregnant."
"Whose child?" Brother said as if the words were squeezed out one by one.
"My, my." I had never seen my brother like this before, and I was trembling a little.
"I'm asking about the father of the child." Brother was a little impatient.
"I, I don't know."
"You don't know!" Brother screamed again, only ten centimeters away from me. I felt a strong spurt of spittle coming towards me, and I wanted to wipe it away, but my expression was so ferocious.
"He's a cowherd. I don't know him, and I don't remember what he looks like."
"Cowherd!!!"
