It was a rainy night.
The wind was howling loudly, and the heavy rain was pouring down from the sky, making my whole body hurt. Wet and cold.
I shook my soaked body and curled up to hide in a corner, hoping to avoid being hit by the rain as much as possible. But this place was too narrow. No matter where I huddled, the cold rain still drenched me mercilessly.
When can I leave here?
I've been here since I could remember it. This small, boxy place has nothing warm about it. Although it can't protect me from wind and rain, it can still be regarded as my home.
There is always too much coercion in the outside world.
I once tried to go for a walk on a farther corner, but was shouted away by the same kind of people who lived there. I also tried to look for food in nearby restaurants, but there were always stronger wild sleepers who slapped me directly. I was hungry, tired, and so scared that I could only stay in this only familiar place, looking pitifully at the people passing by. Waiting for their occasional caring glances and compassionate charity.
I long for a warm person who can hold me tenderly and caress me, and give me a warm home.
But... It's impossible, right?
