Orville, a closed and backward city-state, has long practiced an unfair slavery system, and the contradiction between the nobles and the poor has also existed for a long time. Slavery, in the small city-state of Orville, was essentially a tool to provide labor for the nobility. The nobility lent a small amount of gold, and the poor who were unable to repay on time could only become the slaves of the nobility.
The novel tells the story of the protagonist Zoro Yergin and the slave he once met in childhood (and later became a close partner) Canghuan Vaughan. The two people and the anti-slavery team worked together to overthrow the slavery system and let the slaves gain freedom and happiness in body and mind.
