I once asked Buddha why I am here.
He smiled and said to me that I had been begging him here for hundreds of years just to meet him again, so he made a bet with me that if I could wait for that person and recognize him, the Buddha would let us have another mortal relationship.
I asked Buddha: "Then who am I waiting for?" Buddha asked me back: "Don't you remember his name?"
I shook my head no.
He asked me again: "Then do you still remember his appearance?"
I shook my head again. Then I heard his heavy sigh and he said I should be sad. But I don't know what sad means. I don't know what joys and sorrows are. I only remember that I am a green lotus under the Buddha's Bodhi.
