I am a storyteller and I can only tell stories, so I can only make a living by selling stories.
Some people like to hear good stories, so I tell them good stories; some people like to hear bad stories, so I tell them bad stories.
But everyone has different definitions of good and bad. For example, some people regard misery as happiness and perfection as regret. So sometimes I sell bad stories to those who want to hear good stories, and tell the good stories to buyers who want to hear bad stories.
There was a person who said he wanted to tell a story with me that only the two of us would share. He would not sell it to anyone else, but would tell it to the two of us, our children, and people who really want to hear the story. That's probably the least surprising story I've ever heard. It probably won't sell for much, but it's my favorite story.
I am telling you it now. If you like it, please tell others. If you don't like it, please forget it.
