[10. Not having wrong views], not having wrong views means not being partial to wrong views and holding on to what is not right, which is the goodness of stopping wrong views. Neither have wrong views, but should practice the good deeds of right faith and right views.
The contents of the "Ten Precepts" include "Three of the body", that is, no killing, no stealing, and no sexual intercourse; "4 of the mouth," that is, no double-talk, no harsh words, no lying, and no idle talk; "3 of the mind", that is, no greed, no anger, and no ignorance. Body, speech, and mind represent actions, words, and thoughts. The "Ten Precepts" are derived from the "Five Precepts", but they have different emphasis from the "Five Precepts". The "Five Precepts" focus on stopping evil, while the "Ten Precepts" focus on doing good. The "Ten Good Deeds" derived from the "Ten Precepts" are to avoid greed by contemplating impurity, from anger by contemplating compassion, from ignorance by contemplation of causes and conditions, from lying by honest speech, by abstaining from double-talk by harmonious speech, by abstaining from evil speech by loving words, by abstaining from frivolous speech by honest speech, by abstaining from killing by saving lives, by abstaining from stealing by giving, and by abstaining from sexual immorality by pure conduct.
