The days went on like this, calm and down-to-earth. The ups and downs of their family life in a foreign country were similar to those of father and son and him. There were things that should be given up, things that had to be borne, and things that were helpless. Most of them were contentment. If you live every day in such a down-to-earth manner, tomorrow should be wonderful:)
