There is a bridge on the southern edge of West Lake in Hangzhou named Changqiao, also known as Shuangtou Bridge. It is said that in the Southern Song Dynasty, the scholar Wang Xuanjiao and the girl Tao Shier both threw themselves into the lake and died. There is a stele beside the bridge briefly describing the incident. I was so moved that I turned the incident into a story to remember.
