I slept quietly in front of the Buddha for thousands of years, until I met you somewhere and I shed a sad tear.
The Buddha said: I became a Buddha because I have no love. How can you become a Buddha because you are greedy for the world?
I regret it.
Buddha said: Regret is useless. You have an unfinished relationship, go ahead and break off your marriage, I will wait for you to come back.
For this reason, I have prayed under the Bodhi tree for five hundred years.
You said: From the moment you met me in front of the Buddha, I have been suffering from insomnia for five hundred years.
I asked: Among all living beings, are you the one who I have been with for many times?
You said: Yes, that day five hundred years ago, you inadvertently passed through my path. I have been waiting for you to realize this fate that passed me by.
The Buddha said: It takes a hundred lifetimes to cross the boat together, and it takes a thousand lifetimes to sleep together. The gazing five hundred times in the previous life is exchanged for the shoulder wiping once in this life.
I beg the Buddha bitterly and sweetly to let us form a mortal relationship again and fall in love and accompany each other for months and years.
Buddha said: Unless the sea dries up and the rocks rot, and the mulberry fields turn into mulberry fields.
So I asked the Buddha to turn me into a swallow that fills the sea in the next life. I will go through thousands of hardships until the sea is filled up, so that you and I can have the fate of our past lives.
Therefore, the Buddha arranged for us to meet each other in this life, allowing me to fulfill this unfinished relationship with you. When the fate is over, the song ends and people disperse.
