At first there were very few geishas here because there were few customers and there was nothing new. Gradually, as the number of tourists increased, so did the number of geishas, and they began to gather within a certain area. I still remember that eight years ago, the most famous place here was Qinglan Pavilion, but now the most popular one is Huasangzhai on the west end of the street.
