Han Ping, a fledgling internal police officer, met Yan Yun, a county archives administrator who likes to be alarmist, because of a strange and bizarre murder case. He was then introduced to a pair of brothers and sisters, Shen Ao and Shen Wei, whose personalities and identities are both mysterious.
Gradually, Han Ping discovered that the official involvement in the case was getting bigger and bigger, and the more he investigated, the more confused he became!
