Children living in rural areas have a habit of being in awe of the mountains, because they have their own civilization. If they want to survive, they must rely on them and be in awe.
I was born in the city, but grew up in the countryside. My sentiments about the land are more intimate than those in the city. I am also grateful that my parents were busy with work and left me at my grandma's house where no one would be disturbed during holidays. A village rooted in the mountains made my childhood not filled with toys but with some natural "friends".
