In the near future, the earth has been overrun by alien creatures called "souls." These organisms take over human life by parasitizing their nervous systems. The soul "Wanderer" who has experienced many planets parasitizes in the body of a girl Melanie, but she finds that the girl's will has not disappeared, but human emotions and memories have given her an unprecedented impact.
PS: Personally, I think this novel is quite clever in its conception. The protagonist is an alien "soul" living in the body of a human "host", and then falls in love with the host's lover.
Although some of the ideas are too naive, the unique concept of "The Host" is quite qualified even as a hard science fiction work, not to mention a unique love experience and human journey brought by Aunt Mel's delicate writing style.
This new chapter shows the plot after Melanie wakes up after Xiaoman fell asleep - the content is actually not much, but Aunt Mei's overly detailed writing makes the three people's entanglement translated into more than 10,000 words, I admire...
