This is a very poignant love story.
The story takes place in the Wulong Mountain District, about 20 kilometers southwest of Yangshuo City, Guilin, which is famous for its scenery.
Liu Susu, the youngest daughter of Liu Dashan in Liujia Village, is a good girl who is as beautiful as a fairy, as heart-like as a Bodhisattva, and is loved by everyone.
Therefore, Zhao Guiwen, a primary school teacher in Wulong Village, and Xiaogen, the son of Master Deng, the old master of Susu's barrel factory, both fell deeply in love with Susu.
Zhao Guiwen is the son of Mr. Zhao, the old school teacher who taught the Susu sisters to read. He has also studied with the Susu sisters since they were young. They are still classmates after all. Xiao Hei and Su Su grew up together and became their childhood sweethearts.
