I stood in the sunset. Yes, it's getting dark, but the sun is shining brightly.
There are mottled lights and shadows all around. This was once a rocky shoal that had been dry for ten years. Now, it is gradually starting to get wet. But instead of water, it was blood. Condensed together, the filth of red and black, the interlacing of light and shadow.
So quiet. I can even hear the movement of clouds in the sky. It's so noisy, the beating of my heart is so deafening.
There are large and small pieces on the shoal. I don't know if they are stones or stumps. I slowly knelt down and wiped my hands gently. They were all cold and full of blood. Can't tell the difference. War, yes, a war just ended here.
There is no wind. The sun is quietly doing its final burn, heading towards death and darkness.
Yes, it's getting dark.
