Buddhism believes in cause and effect. Everything in the world will get what kind of effect it has because of the cause. In the cycle of cause and effect, people in the world will get different results, and no one is the same.
Does anyone have an afterlife? Are there past lives? If a person is too obsessed with something before death, will he become the person he wants to be after reincarnation? If you can, that is happiness. If not, that would be tragic.
If the bond between one person and another person is too deep, will the two people break away from the shackles of the world and no longer abide by the law of cause and effect?
