Nian, the noble concubine of Emperor Dunsu, was the daughter of the governor of Hubei, later Taifu, and a first-class Duke. She was also the sister of Nian Gengyao, a first-class Duke, General Fuyuan, and Governor of Sichuan and Shaanxi.
One of the concubines of Emperor Yongzheng, Nian was a side concubine when Emperor Yongzheng was in the vassal residence. In the 54th year of Kangxi's reign, she gave birth to the emperor's fourth daughter.
In the fifty-ninth year, the prince Fuyi was born.
In the 60th year, the prince was born and gave birth to Prince Fuhui.
In May of the first year of Yongzheng, the prince Fupei was born. In December, she was canonized as a noble concubine.
In the eleventh month of Yisi in the third year, she became seriously ill and became the imperial concubine of the Jin Dynasty.
