Love, lost in May
Many years later, I can still remember him standing on the side of the busy road and saying to me: Let's say goodbye here, then turn around and leave, and never want to see each other again, okay? Even though he spoke in a low voice, even though there were a lot of people around him, his face was expressionless, his head was buried deeply, and his eyes became dim. My heart felt like it was pricked by a needle, it hurt. But I still pretended to be relaxed: OK, it's a deal. So, I saw him turn around and leave. His back was submerged in the crowd and disappeared. Then I turned around and left, taking long strides. There was no sadness, no tears, just anger.
