Frederick Auditore was reborn in Renaissance Italy in the 15th century and became an Assassin for family reasons.
The family was betrayed, and Frederick, his father Giovanni, and his youngest brother Petruccio were sent to the gallows. Among the men in the family, only his younger brother Ezio survived.
Frederigo, who escaped by feigning death, had no time to pass on the news of his survival to Ezio, and fell into the water. He was rescued by Giotto and was involved in the dispute between the couple hundreds of years later.
