2004 Kyoto, specifically called Temple Outside
A girl with long hair in white clothes walked into a flower shop named Yamazakiya carrying a tachi.
"Yamazaki-san, I would like to buy a bouquet of hydrangeas and a chrysanthemum."
"It's Miss Kui! Are you here to worship again?" A mother-in-law with gray hair on her temples shouted as she walked out of the inner hall.
"Well, I'm a member of the Kendo Club, so I should visit my ancestors from time to time..." Aoi replied with a blushing face.
"For Miss Aoi, your hydrangeas and chrysanthemums."
"Thank you." Kui handed over the money and ran out of the flower shop quickly and ran into the temple.
"Thank you for your patronage. Come back next time, Miss Aoi." The mother-in-law shouted as she picked up her feet.
"Who is it? Shizi." An old man came out of the inner room and asked.
"Oh, it's Miss Aoi who comes to pay homage every week! It's rare for someone to come not only on their death anniversary."
Kui walked along the corridor and walked towards a tombstone with a solemn expression. She leaned down and put down the flowers in her hands, and said softly: "I'm here to see you again."
The tombstone is engraved in writing: Tomb of Okita Sojiro
Aoi smoothed up a bunch of long hair, turned around and took out something from her waist. It was a beautiful bamboo flute with fine patterns carved on the flute, and a jade piece with a purple sun pattern hanging on it. She brought the flute close to her lips and gently played a melodious tune.
