Are you tired of who you are now?
Every day repeats yesterday, getting up at the same 8 o'clock, having a cup of soy milk on the way to work and maybe a piece of fried buns. I was busy working on the computer until 12 o'clock but had a terrible lunch in the cafeteria. I dozed off in the afternoon and stayed up until 18:00 to get off work and take the subway home. At 19:00, I made myself instant noodles or went on a social or date date. Living like this is a monotonous life with no expectations, and the long-lost weekends are always spent in bed. Day after day, I always feel lost inadvertently but I don't know why.
Do you keep going back to the past?
Read new books, listen to the most popular songs, and watch the most popular movies. But we always go to the coffee shop with old friends and reminisce about the romance novel we secretly read in class, the idol we admired when we were students, and the first movie we watched - with the person we fell in love with for the first time.
Are you afraid of standing still?
I want to move forward, but I don't know how to take the first step. I miss my former self, but at the same time I want to seize the seemingly satisfying life now. And it becomes increasingly impossible to escape the sense of loss that I used to only feel in the dead of night.
In fact, as long as you don't escape, you just have to welcome the future that belongs to the past.
