I want to write about Notre Dame de Paris mainly because of Cardinal Claude. He is a sanctimonious and well-dressed hypocrite with a dirty soul and as poisonous as a snake or scorpion; but he is also a wise, gentle romantic who pursues beauty and freedom. He fell in love with Esmeralda, and then this love almost burned everything in his life and killed his soul. He knows love best and longs for love, but he is destined to have no love. I want to write about him just to commemorate the evil man who was reviled by everyone.
Let's add a ballad sung by Quasimodo.
Don't just look at your face,
Girl, it depends on the soul.
The hearts of handsome young men are often ugly.
Some people's hearts can't keep love.
Girl, the pines and cypresses don't look good.
Not as beautiful as poplar,
But in winter its branches and leaves are green.
Well! What's the use of saying this!
Not being beautiful is inherently wrong;
Beauty only loves beauty,
April faces January.
Beauty is complete,
Beauty can do anything,
Beauty is the only thing that is never half-full.
Crows only fly during the day,
The owl only flies at night,
Swans fly day and night.
