This small town in southern Yunnan combines the calmness of the plateau with the hustle and bustle of Nanchui. Even though thousands of years have passed, this different worldly temperament has not changed. Nowadays, as Haozi Jiangzhou goes around the mountains, Jingchu is no more than a trace of ink in the history books, but the nanmu still grows on the back of the red cliff, with its old roots planted in stone plates near the stream.
