Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty, commonly known as Sanzang of the Tang Dynasty, and whose surname was Chen Mingyi, traveled westward to seek Dharma for 17 years and back, traveling 50,000 miles and traveling through 138 countries. He translated 75 Mahayana economics, 1,350 volumes, and wrote "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty" and other books. He had thousands of disciples and was known as the master of Buddhism and a great man in the world.
