Meet Chanel
(a fairytale of Chanel)
Also known as: Camellia's Fairy--Sephottira
On an early spring afternoon, among the bustling crowds in Trafalgar Square, she easily locked my gaze.
She was like a proud elf, leaning against the ink-colored bronze lion sculpture a few meters away from me. I was in a unique position, just enough to observe her without missing a single detail. And she would never notice me, or so I thought. I look like a lonely wandering artist, with long, slightly curly brown hair and an old gray-white baseball cap with the brim pushed down quite low. I haven't shaved my beard for three days, and my beard, which has lost the threat of a knife edge, restlessly pokes its head above and below my lips.
The moment before she fell into my sight, I was sitting on the long steps of the National Gallery, enjoying a cup of mellow afternoon tea. My eyes were wandering through the crowd in search of miracles, and she bumped in, strangely falling from the sky, as if she didn't want to disappoint me. She was leaning against the sculpture like that, with her beautiful eyebrows furrowed in thought. The people around her, as well as the gray-feathered doves all over the sky, all settled with the hustle and bustle in an instant, and were slowly pushed into the background board.
