Birth, old age, illness, and death are actually not bitter. What is bitter is the infatuated resentment caused by a restless heart.
Love but parting, then sorrow and resentment breed;
When you ask for something but don't get it, you get entangled in love and resentment.
Then the five Yins are blazing: there is constant disturbance, all originating from a confused mind.
It turns out that the hardest thing to find in this world is peace of mind.
