Shen Zhiwei is the youngest female forensic doctor in the city bureau. She is calm, precise and never makes mistakes. She believed that corpses never lie, and she also believed that the boy who left without saying goodbye seven years ago had long since died deep in her memory.
Until the old ring she gave away was found in the pocket of a fallen body. Lu Shiyan, the new trace expert who pushed open the door and walked into the anatomy room, was wearing a watch exactly like "Lin Zhao".
He changed his last name and she pretended not to recognize him. But the old case is reopened, the bones are unearthed, the cause of her mother's death, the dark network behind her father, and the fire at Yunhu Villa that was classified as a "love-murder-suicide" are dragging the two back to the center of the whirlpool seven years ago.
He owed her an explanation, and she owed herself the truth.
When the forensic scalpel meets the trace examination microscope, they must rebuild trust and love between lies and evidence.
Intent: The truth may be buried, but love and justice will eventually travel through time and reach where they should go.
