The Masked Heist

There is a notorious assassin in the martial world known as Han Zhe. She is skilled at wearing a hundred different faces, and no one has ever survived her attacks. No one has ever seen her true face. When an eighteen-year-old massacre case, long buried in the past, comes to light, she follows the clues into the Qingxuan Sect, intent on taking the life of the mastermind behind it. Li Shuo, one of the Qingxuan Sect’s Seven Star Elders, is peerless in martial arts throughout the Central Plains. Cold and aloof, he avoids women as though they were poison. Blessed with breathtaking looks, he spends most of his time alone on the sect’s back mountain. He sees through the flaw in Han Zhe’s disguise at a glance, but says nothing, coolly watching as she lays her plans within the sect. Han Zhe is ruthless and will stop at nothing. Li Shuo interferes with several of her assassination attempts. From mutual probing and keeping each other in check to being forced to join forces, they discover that the bloodshed years ago is tied to the sect’s hidden secrets and undercurrents at court. As their blades meet, neither expects that this life-or-death ordeal will ultimately entangle them in matters of the heart. Two formidable opponents, each a match for the other, locked in a tense push and pull. Neither will lay down their blade for the other. Theme: The heroine bears the blood debt of her family’s extermination and walks the martial world behind a mask.
